Children And Youths Who Killed Their Parents

Homicide is generally bad. But, it is indeed worst and very baffling to see children and youths who killed their own biological parents. Why do children and youths kill their own parents whom they are supposed to protect and help? To our amazement, let's see some names of children and youths who killed their own parents: 1. In 1968, a young Japanese woman killed her father for sexually abusing and impregnating her to bear children. 2. Charles Whitman killed his mother and wife before going to the bell tower at UT-Austin and randomly killing people in 1966. 3. Lyle and Erick Menendez killed their wealthy parents in 1989 to inherit their wealth. 4. Dana Ewell hired two of his friends to kill his father, mother and sister in 1992. 5. Kip Kintel killed his parents before committing the Thurston High School shooting in 1998. 6. Suzane von Richthofen killed her father and mother with the help of her boyfriend and her boyfriend's brother in Sao Polo in 2003. 7. Nicole Kasinskas killed her mother with the help of her boyfriend in 2003. 8. Thomas Bartlett Whitaker killed his mother and his brother, and tried in futility to kill his father in 2003. 9. Sarah Marie Johnson was born on January 24, 1987. She was the only female to kill her parents in 2003 by herself without the help of an accomplice. 10. Tyler Hadley killed both of his parents on July 16, 2011. 11. Armed robbery is at the center stage of the world today. It has led to so much loss of lives and money. I knew one man in Apapa, Lagos, who had a big hospital and pharmaceutical store. Around 1991, he went to the bank and withdrew about five million naira (5, 000, 000) and brought the money to his house. His son (I sincerely knew that boy very well), then about 22 years old, went and informed armed robbers that his father had brought big money home. He told them to come and rob his father of his money and give him princely share. At midnight, they came and broke through the gate and entered into the building. They went upstairs and broke the man's door ond entered inside his bedroom. The armed men of the underworld demanded for the money he had brought from the bank in the afternoon. Unfortunately for them, the man stoutly refused to give them the money. The man's son who invited them was listening very attentively from his room. When the armed robbers searched the bedroom and saw the money, the man immediately started fighting them. At that point, they shot him dead! Truly, the man's son who informed them of the money may not have told them to kill him or wished that his father should be harmed. But, in the actual sense of it, it was the boy who killed his father. If he did not invite them, they would not have come for the money. After killing the man, they started leaving the house. Coming dowm the staircase, one of the armed robbers told members of the gang that since they had killed the boy's father, that it was necessary to kill the boy too to avoid problem since he knew each and everyone of them very well, including their houses. Though their initial intention was not to kill the informant, they had to go back to his bedroom, broke into it, and had him killed like his father. Other people in that building were listening to them. The boy was very covetous and impatient. He did not want to enjoy his father's money gradually. He wanted to be in charge of money that he did not labour for. Hence, both father and son were killed. The money too was lost! Can you see that there are cases where parents die in the hands of their own biological sons and daughters? Some children kill their parents because they are in a haste to inherit their wealth. Other parents are killed by children because they advised them not to marry a boy or girl whom they (parents) do not like. It could be mostly for financial or religious reasons that parents say 'No" to their children going into marriage partnership. Nobody should blame parents for that! I know that parents may give wrong advices against their children's choice of marriage at one time or the other. Having said that, I believe that it is not fair or rational to kill them just because they advised their own children to do something which they feel is good for them. I don't support the notion that parents should keep quiet when their children are entering into problems in the name of marriage. When young boys and girls disobey their parents and go into wrong marriages, parents will still be the ones to suffer for it directly or indirectly. Most often, if young partners divorce, the divorced young women will end up going back to their parents houses whereas they rejected parents' advices when they were going into it. Parents should endeavour to raise children who will not kill them for their money or for being given a piece of advice. Parents should NOT let their children know that they have brought big money to the house. If not, their children may carelessly and unintentionally mention it to the hearing of the underworld people.
