Of all crimes that human beings commit, filicide (the act of a father or mother killing his/ her own child) is the most unimaginable. Find below the list of parents who deemed it necessary and profitable to send out of the world the children whom they brought into it:
1. On January 23, 2010, Neal Jacobson shot his wife, Frank, and the couple's 7 years old twin boys (Eric and Joshua) in Wellington before making an attempt to kill himself but failed.
2. Matthew Taylor Coleman (40 years old) was found guilty of first degree murder of his 2 years old son and 10 months old daughter.
3. In 2017, Isabel Martinez in Georgina, killed her 33 years old husband, four children aged between 2 and 10 years old.
4. In October, 1994, Susan Smith drowned her two sons (Michael Daniel, 3 years old and Alexander Tyler, 14 months old) in South Carolina.
5. In 1997, an Oregon resident mother, Diane Downs, killed her three children aged between 3 and 8 years.
6. In 2001, Texas-based Andrea Yates mercilessly drowned her five children, one by one, in a bathtub when her husband had gone to work. She was convicted of two counts of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
7. In November, 2018, Jennifer Hart in Washington, speedily drove her SUV to over about 100 foot cliff in Northern Carolina, killing herself, her wife (Sarah Hart) and their six adopted children.
8. A mother, Raina Mersane Ina Thaidy, in December, 2014, stabbed to death her eight children (4 boys and 4 girls ranging from 2 to 14 years in age) and her niece. She also stabbed herself 35 times. She survived her injuries, and was confined in a mental health facility by the Australian court.
9. In August, 2018, Christopher Watts based in Colorado, strangled his 34 years old pregnant wife to death. He also killed his two daughters (Celeste who was 3 years old and Bella who was 4 years old, respectively and dumped them into an oil tank.
10. In August, 2014, Timothy Roy Jones (Jnr) of South Carolina, killed his five children (ranged between 1 and 8 years old) and drove round the city with their dead bodies inside his car for one week before dumping them in one dirty place in Alabama.
11. New Orleans Police said that Joseph Washington killed three children by setting his house on ablaze on October 18, 2023.
12. Ureka Black, 32 years old, was convicted for throwing her five years old and ten months old sons off a bridge, resulting to the instant death of the younger one.
13. 26 years old Jake Guidry killed his eleven months old Zabria Guodry, by hitting the child too hard.
14. Lanaya Cardwell was accused of punching her two years old daughter to death. Her
boyfriend, Phillip Garder, was accused of dumping the corpse in a very remote area.
15. Asunta Yong Fang, a Chinese-born Spanish girl, was killed by her adoption e parents called Alfonso Basterra and Rosario Porto in 2013, September 22, in Spain.
Why did these parents born children that they killed? Were these children born by accident? What did these children do to their parents to deserve death? Why did the Spanish adoptive parents travel to far away China to adopt Asunta Yong Fang if they knew that they were going to kill her? What of the money, time, feeding and other resources spent to train the adopted girl till the time she was killed? Why did they use their money to adopt a child that eventually killed? Why did they spend their money and time to buy pains, regrets, sorrow and imprisonment?
