Poor Parenting Causes Teenage Pregnancies

John Locke said,"Parents wonder why the streams are bitter when they themselves have poisoned the fountain." Several parents do not care a hoot about proper child training. When children are not properly brought up, it becomes a loss to both parents and children. Candidly speaking, proactive child parenting is not an easy task! Be that as it may, it is compulsory to save our children from death and foolishness. The negligence of quality parenting responsibility will spell doom on both parents and children. Once a male child is born into a family, the parents of the child do not need to be reminded to circumcise the child on the eighth day after birth. However, there may be exceptions to this rule in some latitudes of the world. The circumcision of a male child causes untold pains and loss of blood to the child. Though the parents love the child unspeakably, they neglect the pains and loss of blood to proceed with the circumcision exercise. Why do parents subject their male children to circumcision exercise despite the excruciating pains and loss of blood it causes the child? It is because of the enormous benefits derived from circumcision. The lower part of the penis has two coverings. The outermost one is called prepuce or foreskin. It is characteristically darker than any other part of the body. It is loosed, folded and very filthy to look upon. It makes men look very indecent if not removed. It can accommodate dirty and harmful things such as parasites and pathogens. It does not cause any pain to the body, of course. It does not also have any specific function or benefit to the body too. Yet, parents always ensure that the prepuce is compulsorily removed from their male children's bodies to give way to the glans. The glans is the layer of the penis below the prepuce or foreskin. Now, parents undertake the circumcision exercise for obvious reasons inspite of pains and loss of blood to the children. Circumcision is so indispensable that when it is not properly done, it must be carried out again. Pathetically, parents abandon their responsibilities of cutting off the dirty and harmful roots of bad behaviours in their children. They find it very difficult, if not impossible, to beat their children to correct errors in their lives whereas they had earlier dealt much pains to the children when they used sharp knives and blades to remove the prepuce from their male children's bodies at birth. The same parents who said "No." to the presence of filthy prepuce on their children's bodies cannot inculcate morals, ideals, values, etiquettes and civic responsibilities into their children. It is a clear paradox indeed that after doing the greater part of the circumcision of the filthy prepuce, parents are unable to use cane to beat death and foolishness out of their children. They cannot rebuke their children because they falsely claim that they love them. If parents have genuine love for their children, they will strive at all cost to teach them good mannerisms and values and ideals. Therefore, due to the nonchalant attitudes of parents to proper child development, the children become armed robbers, terrorists and aeroplane hijackers, bandits, insurgents, arsonists, murderers, harlots, fraudsters, drinking and smoking addicts right in the presence of parents. There is NO point of bringing a child to this world if that child is not going to be brought up properly by the parents. It amounts to sheer irresponsibility and shame that your own child is causing deaths and atrocities to the global society when his mates are in the laboratories conducting researches and inventing good things for the benefits of mankind. Every parent has a duty to consistently warn his/ her child, son or daughter, of the danger of teenage pregnancy. Teenage pregnancy, as its name implies, connotes pregnancy resulting from premarital sexual affairs among teenagers. Once a female teenager begins to indulge into sex, she immediately begins to swim against the tide: death, barrenness due to damage of wombs during abortions, or low academic grades, or an abrubt end of schooling are inevitable. Parents should tell their daughters that involvements into illicit sexual affairs will surely lead to death, barrenness, poor academic grades and inability to have good education.
