Discovery Of Terrorists' Names On Nigerian Army And Police Recruitment Lists
The recent revelation that names of Boko Haram terrorists were found on the Nigerian Army and Police Force recruitment lists has shocked many Nigerians in particular, and the international community at large. The person who informed the public that names of insurgents were conspicuously found written on the Nigerian Army and Police Force recruitment lists was Honourable Ahmed Idris Wase, a former Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, and current Member representing Wase Federal Constituency in Plateau State. He made this disclosure during a special plenary session focused on national security, citing intelligence reports and security briefings. Honourable Ahmed Idris Wase went further to emphasize that his claims could be verified by Muktar Betara, a former Chairman of the House Committee on Defence.
Infiltration in the Nigerian Army and Police Force recruitment processes refers to the act of terrorists or their agents gaining entry into the security forces through various means, including fake identities, bribery, or corruption. This phenomenon has raised concerns about national security and the effectiveness of the security agencies in combating terrorism and other security challenges.
Corruption is a major factor contributing to infiltration, as corrupt officials may be willing to compromise the recruitment processes for financial benefits. The dearth of thorough vetting mechanisms and intelligence network failures also contribute to infiltration, allowing terrorists to slip through the cracks. Some treacherous individuals within the security forces may be working secretly with insurgents, providing them with adequate access to training, resources, and logistics.
The consequences of infiltration are severe, compromising national security and eroding trust in the security forces. Infiltration, no doubt, can lead to increased and sudden attacks on security personnel and installations, as insurgents gain access to insider information. To prevent infiltration, implementing a thorough vetting process, including background checks and psychological evaluations, is crucial. Enhancing intelligence sharing between security agencies and ensuring transparency and accountability in the recruitment processes can also help.
Building relationships with local communities to gather intelligence and identify potential insurgents is also essential. The Nigerian Government must take urgent action to address corruption and ensure the effectiveness of the security forces. By implementing these attested measures, Nigeria can reduce the risk of infiltration and improve national security. Candidly speaking, there is virtually no possibility that the Federal Government of Nigeria, led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, can successfully obliterate the spate of terrorism in its entirety when the Nigerian Army and Police Force are infiltrated by dare-devil terrorists. The danger of infiltration cannot be over-emphasized. When terrorists infiltrate the security forces, they gain access to sensitive information and training, which they can use to evade detection and carry out attacks. This can lead to breakdown in security, putting the lives of citizens and security personnel at risk. Infiltration readily undermines trust in the security forces, making it challenging to gather intelligence and build relationships with local communities.
Intelligence sharing and collaboration between security agencies are critical in identifying and preventing terrorists' infiltration. The Government must ensure that intelligence is shared effectively and that security agencies work in unison to address the threat of terrorism. Community engagement and outreaches are also essential in gathering intelligence and building trust with local communities. One thing is clear. Terrorism in Nigeria is caused, funded, and sustained by successive Nigerian Governments and Northern Nigeria Muslim elites. In the Nigerian Army, Navy, Air Force, and Police Force, there are always Muslim elements of Northern extraction who fund and encourage terrorism so as to make financial gains from it, and to drastically reduce Christian populations.
Nigeria is colonized by the North through the help of the Queen of England. England, which claims to be Christians, is still ruling Nigeria today through the Muslims in the North. Terrorism is a lucrative business for the North. While thousands of innocent citizens are killed, maimed, kidnapped, held up and raped in the forests, and displaced, the Northeners are taking billions of naira ransoms from the Government to release abducted citizens. Why do we have terrorists' mediators, intercessors, negotiators, but without their funders and sponsors? One of the major obligations of a sovereign State is to protect its citizens from both internal and external aggressions. Unfortunately, the Nigerian Government does not have the ability to protect her citizens. If the international community wants to offer helping hands to secure the country from terrorism, Government will call it an infringement on national sovereignty, all in a bid to continue kidnapping people and receiving princely ransoms for their release from hostages. The terrorist funders are all known to Government. Government also knows them all. One is six, and the other is half a dozen. Both form the two sides of a coin. One does not exist without the other! When victims are kidnapped, they turn to Government and demand for negotiations with terrorists instead of killing them to save citizens' lives hanging in the balance. They run with the hares and hunt with the hounds. The same persons who condemn terrorism publicly are the same persons funding it behind closed doors. If terrorisrs are caught by the military, the same Northerners will persuade Government to pardon them, grant them amnesty, and rehabilitate them with millions of United States Dollars. After giving them the money, their funders will go back to take their shares from them. That is why terrorism cannot stop in Nigeria. Government knows the funders of terrorism in Nigeria. Some of them include Sheiks Ahmad Gumi and El-Rufai, and a host of others. The North always devices means of robbing the Federal Government. They can't fail to do it! The North is responsible for all the atrocious activities against innocent people of Nigeria: the kidnappings, killing of Christians and burning of Churches, rape, displacement of rural dwellers across Nigeria, deliberate destruction of crops by radical Islamic jihadists and others. Please, let President Trump and the international community take note of this information.
In conclusion, the discovery of terrorists' names on the Nigerian Army and Police Force recruitment lists is a wake-up call for the Government to take urgent action to address the security challenges facing Nigeria. The infiltration of security forces by terrorists in particular, poses a significant threat to national security, and urgent measures are required to prevent such lapses in the future. By overhauling the recruitment processes, building the capacity of security agencies, and addressing the root causes of terrorism, Nigeria can reduce the threat of terrorism to an insignificant level, and create a safer environment for her citizens.
