The Role Of Physical Exercises On Child Training
Proper child development cannot be successful without the inclusion of physical exercises. Physical exercise is pivotal to child development because it contributes in no little measure to the physical, social, cognitive, and emotional development of a child. Without regular bodily exercises, a child cannot develop gross motor skills which include the ability to jump, run, kick, and throw etc. When children engage more in physical exercises than watching televisions and playing endless games in smartphones, it helps them so much. It helps them to sleep well, thereby making them healthier. It makes their bones to become stronger to reduce the risks of osteoporosis and osteomalacia (soft bones) in future. Frequent physical exercises combat chronic diseases in the body. It pegs down the growth of obesity, cardiac malfunctioning, diabetes and other internal diseases in the body. It also increases energy levels, eliminates fatigue, and improves general health condition of a child. Another indispensable role of physical exercise is that it facilitates the fine motor skills which include the coordination of hand and eye, bàlance and dexterity. It helps in making the body flexible and physically fit to do hard work. Frequent physical exercise helps in building the muscles and in enhancing the bone density of the body. It facilitates cardiovascular fitness and healthy body weight, thereby eliminating obesity and other diseases associated with swellings.
Physical exercise is fundamental to the proper development of a child because it builds social skills such as cooperation, exchange of ideas and views, communication and teamwork, relationships and other social connections. For instance, when children play football together in a football field, it makes them to know one another through verbal communications and interactions. They make friends with one another. It gives the children a sense of oneness, social responsibility and civic engagement.
Physical exercise assists in promoting the brain development of a child, thereby increasing cognitive functions, memory ability and retainership of information and figures, and concentrations on studies when the child is studying alone, or when he/ she is taught by a teacher. Physical training enables children to develop the ability to think and reason critically to get solutions to problems. It enables the children to be mentally creative. Not only that, regular physical exercise increases the absorptive capacity of the brain, thereby increasing the child's academic performances. It makes a child to be smart enough to wake up very early in the morning and to be punctual to school.
Physical education teaches a child to obey rules and regulations. Every game has its own rules and regulations. Football, handball, and all field and track events have their "dos" and "don'ts". Anybody who violates any rule in a game must be disqualified immediately. That disqualification serves as a deterence to others who intend to flout the rules of that game. Therefore, physical exercise can serve as a means of inculcating discipline and self-control into a child. In all games, participants are careful not to show aggression, revenge and tantrums to other contestants or opponents. That is why adults who have participated in sports can often show self-control where they are in public. A child can learn obedience and strict adherence to instructions, rules and regulations, through physical games. Physical exercise helps children to develop strength, resilience, determination, and tolerance to opponents, and even to enemies. It teaches discipline and strict obedience to instructions, rules and regulations. It helps in building up proper children which will not burn our Earth with fire since it teaches tolerance to all men.
To summarize, physical exercise improves academic performances of a child. It improves brain health and absoptive capacity. It improves muscular strength and resilience. It enhances cardiometabolic functions and lung health. Physical training improves bone strength. It is a primary factor which determines the health and overall wellbeing of a child. Parents should encourage their children to engage in physical exercises than in watching televisions and playing games in their smartphones. All children should create enough time for physical exercises but not in an environment where they will wound themselves.
