Teaching Children To Avoid Stealing Public Funds And Engaging In Acts Of Sabotage Against Father's Land

Teaching children to avoid stealing public funds and engaging in acts of sabotage against their father's land requires multidisciplinary approach that incorporates values, morals, critical thinking, and civic engagement. As future leaders in making, children need to understand the importance of integrity, accountability, transparency, and responsible behaviours, in managing public resources. One way to teach children to avoid stealing (the euphemism for stealing public funds is embezzlement or misappropriation) their nation's resources is to instill values of integrity and honesty into them from a young age. This can be achieved through:

1. Modeling honest behaviours:

Children learn by observing and imitating their parents and peers in the environment according to Albert Bandura's Social Learning Theory. Therefore, it is the responsibility of parents, caregivers, and educators to model honest and transparent behaviours for their children to emulate.

2. Teaching ethics and morality:

Educating children about ethics, morality, values, good mannerisms, honesty, transparency, and truth, even when it is difficult, can help children develop a strong sense of integrity.

3. Encouraging critical thinking and reasoning skills:

Teaching children to think and reason critically about issues and evaluate information objectively before making judgement or taking actions, can help them make informed decisions and resist corrupt influences.

Another way to teach children to avoid being used for sabotage by internal or external enemy is to promote civic engagements and community involvement. There are many cases where powerful nations, for reasons best known to them, bribe and enrich easily manipulated figures in other under-developed countries to cause problems in their own fathers' lands for material advantage. Most wars fought by nations against nations are caused and funded by nations far away through sabotage of a puppet and easily manipulated individuals from the other country. This type of situation can be avoided through:

1. Civic education:

Teaching children about human rights and civic responsibilities as citizens, as well as the importance of active participation in the democratic process. Every country's school syllabus or curriculum should compulsorily include lessons on civic instructions or education. That is, every child must know his/ her responsibility to his country. Here are some major civic responsibilities of citizens:

a. Voting during elections:

This implies that a child has the right or eligibility to vote for any political party and candidate of his/ her choice provided he/ she is up to the age required by the Constitution of that country, to shape the government and policies.

b. Obeying laws and others:

Respecting and adhering strictly to the laws, rules, and regulations governing that country

c. Paying taxes:

Contributing to the government's revenue generation programmes to fund public projects and services

d. Staying informed:

Being aware of current events, issues, and policies affecting the country of his/ her citizenship

e. Participating in community services:

Volunteering and contributing to the well-being of the community

f. Respecting rights of others:

Reorganizing and respecting the rights and dignity of other citizens

g. Holding leaders accountable for malfeasance:

Monitoring and holding democratically elected officials accountable for their actions of malfeasance, and subjecting such to the court of law for trial according to his/ her offence (s). Every convicted public office holder shall be punished according to the applicable law of the land to serve as a deterence to others. If he has stolen public funds, he must restore the funds to the State which owns it. If he has built houses with the stolen State's funds, those houses must be confiscated without compromise and restored to the State because the money used in building them belongs to the State. He shall be sentenced to jail. By so doing, other public office holders would be deterred from engaging in misappropriation of government's resources.

h. Engaging in public discourse:

Participating in respectful and constructive discussions about public issues

i. Serving on juries:

Fulfilling civic duty by serving on juries when called upon to do so

j. Reporting crimes:

Reporting criminal activities to the relevant government security authorities to maintain peace and safety

k. And others

The above responsibilities help maintain a functioning democracy and promote the common good of the citizenry. However, it should be pointed out that many democratically elected officials are too corrupt! Their open poor governance and loot of office run at a cross-purpose to the tenets of true democracy and accountability. In many countries of the world presently, what we are seeing is not democracy but dictatorship in the government houses. The Constitution is no more valid.

2.Community services:

Engaging children in community services and volunteer work can help them develop a sense of social responsibility and understand the value of contributing to their community.

3. Critical thinking and reasoning about social issues:

Engaging children to think and reason critically about social issues and evaluate information objectively can help them develop informed opinions and engage in constructive debates.

There are agencies across the world established to monitor and control elected government officials who steal public funds or allow themselves to be used by foreign predators as a tool to sabotage their own countries. Some examples are:

1. South Africa's Anti-Corruption Initiatives:

South Africa has launched initiatives to promote transparency and accountability in government and public institutions, including educational programmes for children.

2. Singapore's Anti-Corruption Agency:

Singapore's Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) has implemented programmes to educate children about the importance of integrity and the consequences of corruption.

3. The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) investigates and prosecutes white-collar crimes, including embezzlement and misappropriation of public funds.

4. United Kingdom's Serious Fraud Office:

It investigates serious  and complex frauds, including corruption and bribery.

5. Canada's Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP):

RCMP's Federal Policing unit investigates and prosecutes financial crimes, including corruption and misappropriation of public funds.

In conclusion, teaching children to avoid stealing public funds and not to allow themselves to be used for sabotage against their father's land requires a comprehensive approach that incorporates values, critical thinking and reasoning skills, and civic engagement. By inculcating values of integrity and honesty, promoting civic engagement, community involvement, and using real-life examples, we can help children develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become responsible and active citizens who contribute to the growth and development of their countries. By empowering children with the right values and knowledge, we can build a brighter future for generations to come.
