Not Your Parents' Career: It Is Yours

However, this parental influence can sometimes bring detrimental impact, as parents may unnecessarily impose their own career aspirations on their children without minding their interests, skills, and passions. To avoid these pitfalls, parents should prioritize open and supportive communication with their children about their career aspirations. By listening attentively to their children's interests and passions, parents can provide guidance that is tailored to their individual needs and goals. Additionally, parents can encourage their children to explore different career options, gain relevant experiences, and develop transferable skills that can be applied across various industries.
