What The Pencil Maker Told The Pencil Before Selling It

moo
Before the pencil maker sold the pencil to the user, he told the pencil the following: 1 "You must allow another person to use you for writing and drawing as I have used you." The pencil maker was teaching the pencil submission, humility and tolerance. Parents, try as much as possible to teach your children submission, himility and tolerance so that they would be able to live and work together with other people. Tell them to tolerate people of all races and backgrounds. It is not the responsibility of your children or yourself to kill people of other races, tribes, and religions. Everyone has the right to live his life as he wants. Your children must not be among religious fundamentalists who kill innocent people and claim that they are fighting for God. Your children are not stronger than God. So, anything about faith and religion should be left between God and man. Don't allow your children to be murderers! In the offices, markets and supermarkets, residential houses, schools and other places, there are people who hate us, or whom we hate. We must learn how to co-exist with our enemies without killing them. Enemies cannot finish. Killing the enemies does not make them to cease. These are the lessons the pencil maker is bringing to you by extension. 2. "You must endure pains when your owner is sharpening you as I used to sharpen you. This is because if you are not sharpened, you won't be useful." In other words, the pencil maker told the pencil to be ready to undergo hard trainings in order to be useful to its owner. He told the pencil to prepare to pass through the purifying fire of training like gold. If gold does not pass through the fiery anvils of the goldsmith, it cannot be beautiful and of high economic value. Parents should tell their children to prepare for the rigorous trainings of this life in order to become successful people in the world. Tell your children to avoid short-cuts when pursuing life objectives. Make them to understand that life is a battlefield. There is no rest in the battlefield! Let your children know that life is not a bed of roses. It is a great deception to tell the children that life is anything short of battlefield. Let your children know that the beautiful white lily grows out of dirty mud only. That means, a daring and committed seeker can get what he wants though it may take him some time. Anybody can get anything he wants if he continues pressing forward searching for it. Your children can design a beautiful architectural design out of the rubbles.Teach them only to engage in legitimate works and businesses if they want both success and long life. Make your children resilient and never to give up on good objectives or give in to corruption and vices to achieve success. All the precious stones and in-ground minerals of the world are embedded in the earth's crust. Only determined people can mine and harness them because they are hidden from the reach of weak persons. Cowards and weak minds cannot access them! Teach your children that they must strive very hard and persistently if they want to be achievers. T. J. Fitikides said that he who would search for the pearls must deeply dive below. Let the children know that there is no easy way to success and greatness. South Africa is presently digging to four kilometres under the earth's crust mining gold. Miners of gold, diamond, nickel, lithium, and other innumerable in-ground mineral resources everywhere in the world know too well that in some cases deaths may occur as the mines cave in or collappse on them. This fact, does not deter them from further mining operations. People die in motor accidents. Others still buy cars and trucks and engage in motor transport services. Pilots die midair in air crashes. Yet, people still buy aircraft. Aircrash incidents do not dissuade people from studying piloting and other aviation courses. Ships sink in the oceans in some cases. This does not stop maritime businesses from flourishing in the world. Life is good. But, death comes to men obviously at one time or tbe other. Some die while sleeping in their beds. Teach your children to be bold when they are doing the right things. Tell them that hard work is necessary for success. Let your children take a cue from the plant (young flower) called saxifrage. The saxifrage does not believe in impossibility. It always says,"I can do it." It characteristically defies odds and tides to grow out of hard rocks. 3. "You must always make an indelible mark when you are used on paper." The pencil maker did mince words when he was instructing the pencil. He told the pencil that it has a responsibility to make positive impact on the paper, any time, any day it is used by the owner. All parents should learn a lesson from the pencil maker. Ensure that your children make positive and noticeable impact on the society. In whatever discipline and profession your children may engage in, tell them to make sure that they rise above the ordinary man in the streets. 4. "Allow your errors to be erased easily." The pencil maker knew too well that there could be a slip betwixt the cup and the mouth. He was sure of the human frailties; humans are prone to errors even when they want to avoid it. Parents should learn a lesson from the pencil maker. Teach your children to be easily corrigible. If your children refuse to be corrected when they are wrong, they will surely fail woefully in their undertakings of this life. Incorrigible people are proud, disobedient, and do not always get recommendations for promotions from the management's head. When there is a problem in the place of work, other staff would want the incorrigible person(s) to be sacked and replaced by good people. Teach your children to make lasting impacts on people's lives without asking for rewards. When people work and expect immediate rewards or benefits, they will not go far. 5. "You must be the best pencil in the world." You should teach your children to strive to become the best in their areas of specializations. Teach them to be who they are and not to copy another persons' lifestyles. They must not sell their values, dignity, honour, and conscience for money. They must not be the ones to betray their country during warfares. They should not receive money from the enemy country to sell their own country for money. Please, share with your friends and loved ones. Make your comments too.
